Word of mouth advertising reaches many more people than you think RC Willey .

I am appalled that with a customer satisfaction pledge that reads, " Every RC Willey professional works tirelessly to ensure you are completely satisfied with your experience and purchases at RC Willey. And if not, we'll do everything in our power to make it right%u2014that's the RC Willey Way and our Customer Satisfaction Guarantee " I have been treated the way we have. I will detail our dealings with RC Willey. We purchased a top of the line Samsung television from RC Willey for about 1700 dollars a Sony Surround system for 700 and a warranty for a couple hundred bucks. The sales man told us that even if a bulb needed replacing it would be worth the extra money and if we didn't use it they give a 50 percent buy back at the warranty end. What he didn't tell us is that the television set we purchased would be plagued with issues. We made our purchase and the TV was delivered. Within a week, the first set gave us problems and had to be exchanged. I must say I WISH I would have went with another television at this point. They exchanged it immediately because I had 2 weeks to return it, and the set worked okay it would whine from time to time and turn off periodically. Then at the end of 2011 the OEM bulb Gave out and was replaced under warranty in August 2011. RC Willey only shows one replacement (I have had 4) because the other bulbs were under warranty and replaced due to defect. This is what the TV repair people told us. Then a few short months later the Ballast and board were replaced under warranty March 2012. Now It's almost July 2012 and another part the light engine or color wheel that cost 350 bucks has been fixed under warranty. I called the warranty department. I spoke with Heidi at the corporate headquarters after my wife has made several phone calls to the Henderson store and spoke with warranty people that gave her attitude and a nicer gentleman Dave the electronics manager at the Henderson Location. I want a brand new Television same model as the one I own or a replacement set. Speaking of Dave I must say he is a salesman he offered to cut us a deal on a NEW television. HA, I laugh at that offer and can't believe that he would insult us by offering us a deal on a television when the one we purchased only 5 years prior has worked out so horribly. Is that the life on a television these days I ask ? I have several friends and family members that have Samsung DLP TV's over 5 years old that still work fine with their original bulbs even. Speaking to Heidi She wouldn't budge on RC Willeys position that it was not cost effective to replace the TV and it would be fixed under warranty. I do appreciate the fact that the warranty has covered these costs to date but it's almost expired and I don%u2019t want to own a 1900 dollar paper weight. I even asked to extend the warranty and she declined. She said that she was sorry that my expectation of satisfaction was not met. This is ridiculous because she never even tried to offer a solution to my problem and only kept telling me what my opinion was.

I told her that I was very regretful for ever doing business with RC Willey and would never again do business with them. I also stated to her that I would be contacting the BBB and as many websites such as Measured up as possible regarding my pledge to advertise how I have been treated and insulted by this business and moreover its warranty department. I'm a retail manager and look at this satisfaction pledge in disgust. I know that the retail establishment I work for would do everything in its power to make this right and would take back a product for a full refund with receipt even after 5 years and especially with faults like this. When I purchased this television COSTCO and SAMS CLUB offered these same return policies.
Needless to say I will tell everyone I know to tell everyone they know to not purchase anything from RC willey.

Thank you. If I don't hear anything by Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning I will call corporate myself. My wife and I are still very annoyed about the whole thing. After this is over we will still never shop at RC Willey again. Almost everything(couches, bed set, oven, TV, surround sound) all from RC Willey that's how much we loved that place. 1800 dollars is a lot to just go buy another TV. My wife is not working and we have 2 kids. We spent good money hoping it would last us another 5-10 years( knowing after that time there would be some repairs needed) not 3-4 years something goes wrong every 4-6 months and still under warranty and then that many things go wrong with 7months left of the warranty. How many things still need to go wrong with our set ? we never ask for hand outs but when it comes to spending big money we expect it to work and work right. The only nice person we dealt with in store was Dave the electronics manager. Everyone else rude as can be and acted like we are telling lies or ass holes our selves. We are very disappointed in all of this.

Once again I'm sorry about the issue with your TV and the warranty. I have responded on Facebook to your complaint and am looking into this issue this morning. I'll see what I can do to help.
